Name: Karen Loew
Hometown: Shadyside, Ohio
Areas of Expertise: The West Village and Upper East and West Sides.
Favorite NYC Neighborhood: The West Village, because it was the first place I lived when I moved to NYC from Pittsburgh. It felt like a small town with the big city of Manhattan just a short subway ride to midtown.
Why New York City? Before my real estate career, I was a VP and Creative Director for a retail advertising design studio in Pittsburgh. My company sent me here to open a new office, which lasted about 10 years before the recession closed us down. Going back to Pittsburgh never occurred to me. I stayed and pursued my fine art career, picking up freelance advertising work to pay the bills. The architecture of the city is an eyeful and the energy is powerful. But I do remain a devoted Steelers fan!
Why City Connections? I appreciate the association Esther Muller (Certified Master Coach) has with David Schlamm and how together they are committed to raising the bar for the real estate industry through the Certified Real Estate Advisor (CRA) program. They set a fine example of the value of relationship building and high ethical standards. I share their values and respect their leadership.
