|Name: James Power
Hometown: Pearl River, NY
Areas of Expertise: Employee relocation. I have been the co-owner and broker of record for Advantage Relocation for 10 years, providing exclusive buyer and renter representation in the New York City marketplace.
Favorite NYC Neighborhood: Midtown East, one of the most underrated neighborhoods in Manhattan. It's a great departure point to explore the entire city. Usually associated with a very corporate after-work crowd, this neighborhood quiets down after happy hour and has countless hidden gems. Truthfully, though, I always tell my clients that as long as they end up in Manhattan, they've done well!
Why NYC? I truly believe that Manhattan is the center of the universe. There isn't a day that goes by that I'm not thankful to be surrounded by such culture and resilience.
Why City Connections? I've been an independent broker for a long time. At this point in my career, joining City Connections was the logical next step to take my business to a place where it has the energy to grow, the camaraderie to flourish, and the leadership to succeed. It was time to swing with a bigger bat.
“James worked with us on incredibly short notice, planned our itinerary and found us a beautiful apartment in one day in NYC! He also helped negotiate concessions we could never have secured on our own. We had planned to make multiple trips to NY to finalize our living arrangements but we were able to get it done in a single day, which saved us time and money. It was a great experience.”
