David Schlamm founded City Connections Realty in 1988 in a Greenwich Village basement apartment. The one-man operation matured not only into one of New York City's fastest growing agencies, but also into an industry innovator.
In 2004, City Connections pioneered a high-split commission model for experienced, ethical, and entrepreneurial agents, offering 90% splits and 100% support. David had finally created the model he wished was available when he started in real estate!
The competition thought the idea was crazy. Agents didn't. The City Connections high-split model has since spawned numerous imitators, but the pioneer still does it best. In 2009, City Connections introduced an unparalleled agent support program that gives agents access to one-on-one real estate, business, life, and social media coaching, as well as professional development via the Certified Real Estate Advisor program.
In 2011, City Connections opened two storefronts for virtual agents to meet with clients in a new kind of work space. David's next project is launching the charitable arm of City Connections, named after his late best friend, Paul.
When not playing captain of the City Connections team, David enjoys boating on the Hudson River, attending rock concerts (Grateful Dead is his favorite), and spending time with his wife Jill and daughters Emma and Maggie.
